Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and US national security adviser Jake Sullivan held a meeting in Jeddah on Thursday to discuss bilateral ties and matters of common interest, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
During the meeting, the Crown Prince and Sullivan reviewed the strategic relations between Saudi Arabia and the United States, and explored ways to enhance cooperation across various fields, as stated by SPA.
The two leaders also engaged in discussions regarding the latest regional and international developments that are of mutual concern to both nations.
Notably, the meeting involved the participation of senior delegations from both Saudi Arabia and the United States, underscoring the significance of the discussions.
The White House issued a statement regarding the meeting, stating that MBS and Sullivan deliberated on bilateral and regional matters. They also explored initiatives aimed at fostering a Middle East region that is closely interconnected with the rest of the world. Additionally, the situation in different countries, including Yemen, was a topic of conversation during the meeting.
