Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are currently probing a severe collision between a minivan and a horse-drawn buggy.
The incident occurred shortly past 6 p.m. this Sunday along County Road 9.
Reportedly, eight occupants of the buggy were swiftly taken to the hospital via ambulance, their injuries yet to be determined.
Following the collision, two horses fled the scene. Fortunately, they were promptly found and are presently sheltered securely in a barn at a nearby farm.
As a result of the crash, County Road 9, spanning from 4th Line to 2nd Line, will remain shut down for several hours.
