Prince Edward Island RCMP has announced the arrest of two youths in connection with the disappearance of a 17-year-old. A news release from the RCMP revealed that the arrests took place on Tuesday evening. Early this morning, human remains were discovered on Sorrie Road in Milltown Cross, with the provincial coroner collaborating with the police to identify the deceased.
Both youths are currently in custody under the RCMP.
Superintendent Kevin Lewis, acting commanding officer with the P.E.I. RCMP, stated, “A tremendous effort has been put into this investigation. We hope that with these developments, we can bring some closure to the loved ones of the deceased.”
