A group of individuals attempted to vandalize a restaurant in Trenton, Ontario, but their plan went hilariously awry. In CCTV footage shared by The Counter Restaurant, three people approach the business’s entrance, and one of them tries to throw a large plant box filled with soil. However, as the person lifts the box, its contents spill back onto them, causing a fall onto the snowy sidewalk. After a moment lying in the snow, the group leaves the area, and one member returns to put the plant box back in place.
The incident occurred on Friday, Jan. 12, between 10:25 and 11 p.m., according to the restaurant’s landlord, Raul DeBorja. While finding the situation quite hilarious, DeBorja expressed his upset. The business has filed a report with the Ontario Provincial Police.
Fortunately, the plant box was not completely broken, and there was no other damage to the restaurant. CTV News has reached out to the OPP for more information on the individuals involved.
