The Government Media Office in Gaza has issued a statement denouncing Israel’s recent evacuation of eastern Rafah as evidence of its premeditated aggression against the city. The statement, shared on Telegram, asserts that Israel’s evacuation confirms its deceptive approach to truce negotiations while maintaining intentions of launching a broad offensive against Rafah.
Highlighting the continuous aggression by Israel across Gaza, the media office emphasized that the evacuation did not halt the ongoing hostilities. Despite the evacuation orders, the response from citizens was limited, with vital institutions in eastern Rafah, including the Rafah land crossing and Abu Youssef al-Najjar Hospital, continuing to operate as usual.
The Israeli military’s directive to evacuate approximately 100,000 residents from the eastern part of Rafah, located in southern Gaza, underscores the heightened tensions and concerns over potential military escalation in the region.
