Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour is finally making its way to Toronto with a six-show stint in the city. The renowned singer-songwriter announced on Thursday that she will be spending almost two weeks in Toronto during the fall of 2024.
The first set of concerts is scheduled at the Rogers Centre, a massive venue with a capacity of over 50,000, on November 14, 15, and 16. This will be followed by another round of performances on November 21, 22, and 23.
Swift playfully teased on Twitter, saying, “Turns out it’s NOT the end of an era,” while announcing the second leg of her tour, which will also include stops in Miami, New Orleans, Indianapolis, and Toronto.
While tickets are not yet on sale, Swift revealed that they will be available starting next Wednesday. However, fans can already register as verified fans for the Toronto shows.
The excitement doesn’t end there, as U.S. musician Gracie Abrams, whom Swift considers one of her favorite friends, will be joining her on stage in Toronto.
Canadian fans were initially disappointed when Swift announced 40 new dates for her Eras Tour, including stops in Mexico, Europe, Asia, and Australia, while completely skipping Canada. Now, it appears that Swift is making amends and eager to smooth over the rough patch with her Canadian fans. Other than Toronto, the only cities that will receive six shows are Los Angeles and Singapore.

The original omission of Canada from Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour prompted Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to reach out to the pop star on Twitter. He paraphrased lyrics from Swift’s own songs and tweeted, “It’s me, hi. I know places in Canada would love to have you. So, don’t make it another cruel summer. We hope to see you soon.”
The Eras Tour kicked off in March, and the final date is set to take place in Brazil at the end of November 2023. After a few months of rest, Swift will return to the stage in Tokyo in February 2024.
The three-hour concert takes fans on a journey through the Grammy-winner’s 17-year career, covering her various eras from “Love Story” in her early days to her most recent album “Anti-Hero.”
As the first stretch of the tour is nearing its end, Swift expressed her amazement on Instagram, writing, “really blows my mind that we have one last city on the US leg,” before heading to Santa Clara.
The hype for her tour continues to grow, with her Seattle concert even generating seismic activity equivalent to a 2.3 magnitude earthquake just last week.
Canadian Swifties are ecstatic about the new tour dates, but securing tickets might prove to be a challenge. When tickets for the first leg of her Eras Tour were released, the demand was so overwhelming that Swift’s concerts broke Ticketmaster, leaving insufficient supply to meet the extraordinary fan demand.
