Angry demonstrators gathered outside the French embassy in Tunisia on Tuesday, also expressing their discontent with the United States, following an airstrike on a Gaza Strip hospital that resulted in the deaths of at least 200 individuals.
The Gaza Health Ministry, under Hamas’ authority, attributed the strike to Israel and reported a death toll of at least 200. However, the Israeli military contended that a misfired militant rocket was responsible for the tragedy.
Protesters, chanting slogans such as “The French and Americans are allies of Zionists,” conveyed their anger. Their demands included the recall of both countries’ ambassadors and a strong message: “No American embassy on Tunisian territory.”
