Montreal police have announced the arrest of a 22-year-old man who is suspected of intentionally driving a car into a group of six people on Sunday evening. Fortunately, none of the individuals struck by the vehicle suffered life-threatening injuries, although several of them sustained serious injuries.
The incident unfolded shortly after 8 p.m. in a park located in Montreal’s Montreal-Nord borough. Police reported that a fight had broken out among several individuals in the vicinity before the man allegedly drove his vehicle into the group.
Constable Veronique Dubuc, a police spokeswoman, has confirmed that the suspect is scheduled to appear in court. However, the investigation into the incident is ongoing, and authorities are still working to determine the cause of the initial altercation that led to the vehicle being driven into the crowd.
