Hollywood actress Halle Berry and French actor Olivier Martinez have officially ended their marriage, concluding a nearly eight-year-long divorce process. The former couple, known for their roles in movies like “Monster’s Ball” and “Unfaithful,” filed for divorce back in 2015, citing irreconcilable differences.
In a recent judgment obtained by CNN, it was revealed that Berry and Martinez have agreed to share both joint legal and physical custody of their 9-year-old son, Maceo. Additionally, Berry will pay Martinez $8,000 per month in child support.
Their separation was initially announced in October 2015 when they released a joint statement, stating that they had made the difficult decision to divorce while emphasizing their commitment to co-parenting and their son’s well-being.
The couple first met while working on the film “Dark Tide” in 2012 and subsequently tied the knot in a private ceremony in France in July 2013. In April of that same year, Berry announced her pregnancy with Martinez, expressing her excitement about becoming a mother again. Prior to her marriage to Martinez, Berry had been married to baseball player David Justice and singer Eric Benet. She also shares a daughter, Nahla, with Canadian model Gabriel Aubry. This was Martinez’s first marriage.
Their divorce proceedings, lasting nearly eight years, have now officially come to an end, allowing both actors to move forward separately with their lives.
