Authorities have confirmed the loss of three lives as a small plane crashed in Chilliwack, British Columbia, on a fateful Friday afternoon.
The ill-fated aircraft met its tragic end in close proximity to the Chilliwack Motor Inn, situated approximately one kilometer away from the Chilliwack Municipal Airport. First responders quickly swarmed the scene, and images depict a significant presence of emergency personnel amidst the dense foliage, with the plane’s rudder eerily standing upright as a somber testament to the incident.
The aircraft in question is registered to SkyQuest Aviation Ltd., a flight school operating from the Langley Regional Airport. However, the company chose not to provide any comments when contacted by CTV News on that fateful Friday.
According to records from the Canadian Civil Aircraft Register, the aircraft involved in the crash is identified as a Piper PA34. It was registered in 2019 but was manufactured back in 1972.
