Originally scheduled to end in 2021 but postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the farewell tour commenced in 2018. Over the course of the tour, John performed in more than 300 shows, captivating an audience of over 6 million fans worldwide, as highlighted in his Instagram video. His last UK performance on the tour was as a headliner at the Glastonbury Festival.
During his interview with Cooper in 2018, John revealed that his decision to retire from touring was driven by his desire to prioritize his family life.
