Merely two hours before Drake was set to grace the stage in Vancouver, Rogers Arena made a disheartening announcement that the artist’s Monday night concert would be postponed.
Monday was originally scheduled to be the first of a two-night performance in the city as part of Drake’s “It’s All A Blur” tour.
The sudden cancellation was attributed to “unforeseen circumstances with the newly-installed videoboard at Rogers Arena,” according to a statement by Canucks Sports and Entertainment.
In response to the situation, the company rescheduled the concert to take place on Wednesday, August 30. Importantly, all tickets purchased for the Monday show will be honored. Tuesday’s concert is expected to proceed as planned.
Despite the setback, Drake is reportedly eager and prepared to deliver an outstanding performance. The venue, Rogers Arena, expressed its apologies for any inconvenience this unforeseen circumstance may have caused.
