Travis Barker, the drummer for the rock band Blink-182, has had to prioritize family matters over continuing the band’s tour. The announcement came through the band’s official Instagram Story, where they cited an “urgent family matter” that required Barker to return home to the United States. Consequently, their scheduled concerts in Glasgow, Scotland, Belfast, Northern Ireland, and Dublin, Ireland, have been postponed. These shows were part of Blink-182’s “World Tour 2023/2024,” which began in April and was set to take place at the start of this month.
The tour is currently scheduled to resume on September 8 in Antwerp, Belgium. However, no further details about the nature of the family matter were provided in the announcement.
CNN has reached out to representatives for Travis Barker and Blink-182 for additional comments.
It’s worth noting that Travis Barker is married to Kourtney Kardashian, and the couple is currently expecting their first child together. Kardashian already has three children from her previous relationship with Scott Disick. Barker also has two children of his own and is a stepdad to another child from a previous relationship.
In June, Kardashian shared her pregnancy news in an Instagram video filmed during a Blink-182 concert, where she held up a sign reading, “Travis I’m pregnant.” Subsequently, the couple revealed the baby’s gender in a video on their respective Instagram pages, with Barker providing a drumroll just before blue confetti revealed they were expecting a baby boy.
On the night before the tour postponement announcement, Barker shared images of a communal prayer room on his verified Instagram Story, although no further context was provided.
