Alligator found in student’s car ‘for class presentation’ [Video]
University students have been known to get up to wild antics in the past but no-one could have imagined an alligator would be found in one of their cars on campus.
Police in Oklahoma made the terrifying discovery at Tulsa Community College when they searched Shane Allen’s jeep after finding him unconscious.
The 21-year-old student was also found with marijuana and prescription pills but this paled in comparison to the live alligator accompanying them.
Tulsa County state game warden Carlos Gomez said the four-and-a-half-foot animal, which was discovered in a cage in the back seat, would be fine.
‘We’ll get him in a safe holding place where he’ll be comfortable for a few days and determine what’s going to be done with him and what will be done with the owners,’ he said.
When asked, Mr Allen said he had borrowed the beast from a friend and representatives from his college speculated he may have had it for a presentation.
The student could face further punishment on top of drugs charges because he didn’t have a license for the alligator.
